April in Review

April was a busy month, with plenty of new properties coming to market while also navigating Easter and school holidays. After a start to the year that included a high volume of rental shoots, April saw a noticeable increase in sales listings captured by the team.

Alongside our real estate work, we also had a steady flow of commercial projects, builder clients and childcare centres keeping us busy.

In this month’s update, you’ll find some of our latest work, a feature on a truly unique property with an equally unique property video, our Property of the Month with a beautiful facade, and a closer look at testimonial videos and why the right formula can work for almost any industry.

When Property Marketing Gets Creative

Every now and then, a property comes along that is anything but ordinary.

We recently had the opportunity to photograph and film a truly unique property in Yandoit, Victoria, complete with its very own private Wild West town. The property, known as Cheyenne, includes a custom-built frontier-style village with a saloon, church, courthouse, jail, picture theatre, blacksmith shop and more.

This was never going to be a standard property campaign.

The concept for the video came from Kim and Leah at KL Estate Agents, who have never been afraid to have a bit of fun with their marketing. We have worked with them on a few playful real estate videos recently, and this one definitely gave us plenty to work with.

Our role was to help bring their idea to life through the filming, photography and editing. With a Wild West theme, a tongue-in-cheek storyline and a few AI-enhanced creative elements, the final video became something intentionally fun, memorable and very different from a typical listing video.

For us, this kind of project is a good reminder that real estate marketing does not always need to follow the same formula. Some properties call for clean, elegant visuals. Others call for something a little more theatrical. When an agent has a clear idea for how they want to present a listing, our job is to help capture it in a way that suits the property, the campaign and the audience.

The campaign was also featured by realestate.com.au, highlighting just how much interest a unique property story can generate when it is presented in the right way.

For agents, it is a reminder that creative marketing can help a listing stand out, especially when the property has a story worth telling.

The Power of Testimonial Video

Trust is one of the most valuable assets in business. Whether you are a real estate agent, builder, mortgage broker, consultant, health professional, tradesperson, or local service provider, people want to know they are making the right choice before they reach out. A well made testimonial video helps them feel that confidence faster.

Written reviews are useful, but video adds something more personal. Viewers can see the client’s expression, hear their tone, and understand the real experience behind the words. That makes the message feel more genuine, memorable, and relatable.

For real estate agents, testimonial videos are especially powerful. Buying or selling property is a major life decision, and clients want to work with someone they can trust. A past seller explaining how you guided them through the campaign, communicated clearly, or achieved a strong result can be far more persuasive than a simple star rating.

But this is not limited to real estate. Any business that relies on reputation, relationships, and results can benefit from client stories. A customer describing a smooth renovation, a successful finance process, a great dental experience, or a reliable ongoing service gives future clients a clearer picture of what it is like to work with you.

Testimonial videos can also be used across multiple platforms. They can sit on your website, appear in social media posts, support email campaigns, strengthen listing presentations, or become part of paid advertising. One strong client story can continue working for your brand long after it is filmed.

More than just social cutdowns

A strong testimonial video can also be repurposed into short-form clips, but the key is to make those clips intentional. Rather than simply cutting random moments from the longer video, we review the story, identify the strongest messages, and create short-form edits that each serve a different purpose.

One clip might focus on the client’s challenge before they found you. Another might highlight the experience of working with you. Another might focus on the outcome or result. This gives your business a more strategic set of content that can be used across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, email marketing, paid ads, and your website.

For businesses, this means one testimonial session can become a complete set of trust-building content, designed to speak to different audiences at different stages of their decision-making process.

See an example

Below is an example of how one client story can be shaped into both a longer testimonial video and shorter social media clips, giving your business a flexible set of content to use across multiple platforms.

Short-form social clips

Alongside the longer testimonial video, we can also create shorter vertical clips designed for social media, paid ads, email campaigns, and website highlights.

Ad 1 (Problem/Pain - Cold Audience)

Ad 2 (Fear/Hesitation - Warm Audience)

Ad 3 (Outcome/Lifestyle - Conversion)

Most importantly, testimonial video shifts the message from “Here is why we are good” to “Here is what it felt like to work with us.” That difference matters. People connect with people, and authentic client stories help turn interest into trust.

For businesses looking to stand out, build credibility, and create stronger emotional connection, testimonial video is no longer just a nice extra. It is one of the most effective ways to let happy clients become your most powerful advocates.
