March in Review

March was a consistently busy month for the team with the number of properties captured equal to the same time last year. It has been challenging to showcase some rural properties in their best light while conditions have been so dry in Victoria, and in contrast it has been challenging to capture anything at all in Queensland with a very wet month and a cyclone delaying shoots and marketing campaigns.

Once again we photographed some spectacular homes and a great variety of commercial properties, along with new builds and also assisted living facilities for the disability sector.

Take a look at some of our work from the month below, along with some important tips on preparing bedrooms for photography! This is one area of the home that often requires some additional tidying from our team, with vendors overlooking personal items on bedside tables and under beds that they may not think is visible. Having these areas prepared gives our photographers more time to get creative and do what they do best!

Preparing your home for photography - Bedrooms

One of the most important parts of getting the best results from your photo shoot is the way you prepare the home. You can download our helpful Prepare Your Home Guide from our website and here are some tips on preparing your bathrooms for photography.

  • Remove clothes and personal items from the floor and other surfaces.

  • Neatly make beds and smooth out bed linen.

  • Ensure items stored under beds are not visible.

  • Tidy walk-in robes.

  • Ensure bedside lamps are working and switched on.

  • Remove unwanted items such as extra chairs, exercise equipment, soft toys, etc.
